CYBER INCIDENT RESPONDER (D/F/M)

Your tasks

  • Identification and investigation of IT security incidents. Analysis and forensic investigation of all media types and operating systems

  • Identification of the mode of operation, qualification of security incidents and their causes. Crisis management and tactical containment procedures
  • Malware analysis and reverse engineering
  • Assessment of the impact on customers, carrying out necessary internal and external coordination (analysis, evaluation, processing and resolution of cyber security incidents)
  • Coordination and communication of defence techniques and measures with internal and external customers and experts. Communication of results and other technical content to non-technical interlocutors
  • Provision and presentation of customer reports to the management committee
  • Development and implementation of state-of-the-art analysis tools
  • Adaptation of regulations and technical standards (ISO – BSI – NIIST – MITRE ATT&CK – Gartner)
  • Participation in the shift system
  • Creation of necessary documentation and presentation of work results

Your qualifications:

  • The job requires knowledge and skills that are typically acquired through a relevant degree programme with a standard duration of up to four years in the field of computer science, engineering or comparable degree programmes and related additional specialist qualifications as a forensic expert/incident responder in a DFIR/CSIRT team, or completed vocational training with corresponding particularly extensive additional specialist qualifications and practical experience in the field of DFIR/CSIRT. The total knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
  • Knowledge and experience in operational IT security/incident response as well as knowledge of cyber attack techniques and damage limitation strategies
  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of networks, IT infrastructures and operating systems (Windows and Linux) as well as recognised tools such as Microsoft Defender, Splunk, Elasticsearch and MISP
  • Industry standard certifications such as: GCIH, GCTI, GREM, GRID, GCED
  • Strong technical understanding
  • High reliability and precise working methods
  • High resilience in time-critical and technically critical situations
  • Committed, proactive and team-oriented way of thinking and working
  • Excellent and business fluent German and English
