Engineering Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Sindelfingen

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review technical proposal and make decisions, and ensure designs meet DFM (Design for Manufacturability) needs
  • Conduct test/ FEA failures analysis and make optimization plan, and address problems with engineered solutions (FEA, DFM, DFMEA, Design Analysis, Calculations, Design Review)
  • Drive optimized / cost effective solutions
  • Drive design standardization, and ensures global best practices are being followed
  • Ensure program timing deliverables are being met
  • Communicate with customer to align technical topics
  • Support sales team during the acquisition phase regarding engineering topics
  • Manage suppliers in engineering field
  • Support plant production activity, especially EU plants
  • Provide guidance to Engineers / Technicians

 

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Bachelor’s degree above
  • 8 years of experience in automotive industry
  • Familiar with engineering tools, such as GD&T, CAD, UG/CATIA, DFMEA etc.
  • Team management experience preferred
  • High motivation, team work, logical thinking, pressure containment, with strong communication skills
  • Comply with the requirements of the company values
  • Comply with the requirements of LCM (Leadership Competency Model)
  • Able to work in a multicultural and international environment
  • Fluent in English and customer language
