FPGA Engineer/Work Package Leader (m/f/d)

Location: München


Your Responsibilities:

  • Management of technical aspects within FPGA development projects
    • Elaboration of technical estimation for offers
    • Ensure technical coherency and quality of the project
    • Contribution on detailed schedule planning
    • Monitoring of project progress and quality
    • Interact as technical interface to the customer (national and international)
    • Coordination of internal and external gate reviews and audits
    • Customization of generic development plans according to project needs
    • Technical steering of design project team according to the defined project objectives
  • FPGA Design Engineering
    • Development of solutions for technical problems using new/established tools
    • Development and Validation of FPGA specifications from high level specifications in accordance with DO-254 objectives
    • Definition and documentation of new conceptual designs for the FPGA
    • Leading/Guiding all technical reviews on design life cycle data
    • Technical steering of design project team according to the defined project objectives
  • FPGA Verification Engineering
    • Definition of test strategies and test objectives for FPGA (e.g. Register Transfer Level (RTL), Gate Level Simulation) verification
    • Validation of test strategies against test objectives
    • Leading/Guiding all technical reviews on verification life cycle data

Your Qualification:

  • Graduate engineer (electrical/electronic engineering)
  • Mandatory experience in the fields of
    • Analogue and digital circuit design (preferred for NXP microcontroller and MicroSemi and XILINX FPGAs)
    • VHDL, Verilog and System Verilog FPGA programming
    • FPGA verification methods (e.g. RTL, STA, Gate Level and UVM)
    • Following FPGA functions, data communication (RS486, ARINC429, CAN 2.0, Ethernet, SPI; I2C), signal processing (ADC/DAC, FFT, Butterworth filter, LVDT and resolver, PWM) and control functions (current controller, speed controller, Field Oriented Control)
    • Requirements based design/verification (preferably DOORS)
  • Experience in the fields of Aerospace industry and DO-254 development
  • Professional experience of more than 10 years within multiple disciplines (Hardware and FPGA)
  • Practical team player with at least a level of B2 (CEFR) in English
