HW2204/FPGA Engineer (m/f/d) Design and Verification

Location: München

Your responsibilities:

  • FPGA Design and Verification support
  • Specifying and developing FPGA-SW and FPGA-Board Interface definitions
  • Implementing the FPGA design (layout, coding, debugging)
  • Applying existing solutions for new applications by using standardized tools
  • Design of new applications
  • Adapting of existing test strategies to cover the needs of new application
  • Developing and implementing of low level test procedure and support of test result evaluation
  • Performing low level tests and generating the test result documentation
  • FPGA design implementation
  • FPGA Environment and Process Responsibilities
  • Autonomous working according to project specific processes
  • Adaption/modification/repair of devices under test according to modification plan
  • Support in establishing process specific development documentation - Beeing able to perform and support tool qualification activities

Your qualification:

  • Graduate Engineer with Bachelor degree in the field of electronic engineering
  • Large-Scale FPGA architecture design in VHDL - Analogue and digital circuit design (preferred for NXP microcontroller and MicroSemi and XILINX FPGAs)
  • VHDL, Verilog and System Verilog FPGA programming
  • FPGA verification methods (e.g. RTL, STA, Gate Level and UVM)
  • Following FPGA functions, data communication (RS486, ARINC429, CAN 2.0, Ethernet, SPI; I2C), signal processing (ADC/DAC, FFT, Butterworth filter, LVDT and resolver, PWM) and control functions (current controller, speed controller, Field Oriented Control)
  • Requirements based design/verification (preferably DOORS)
  • Modelling in MATLAB
  • Experience in the fields of Aerospace industry and DO-254 development (Avionic or Flight Control Computer)
  • Professional experience of approx. 6 years within multiple disciplines (Hardware and FPGA)
  • Good German and English skills
