Automation Specialist (m/f/d)

Location: Luxembourg

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Program production equipment and related control units.
  • Develop programs for PLC controls and test benches.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and optimize machines, tools, equipment, and processes.
  • Perform error analysis and troubleshooting during equipment breakdowns.
  • Handle both virtual and physical commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
  • Participate in or manage projects related to PLC programming.

Your qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in PLC programming (preferably Siemens).
  • Ability to program vision systems (Keyence preferred), motor drives (SEW preferred), and electrical axis (Festo preferred).
  • Proficient in reading and writing logic (Ladder or Sequential Function Chart).
  • Knowledge of communication protocols between PLCs, robots, supervision, and traceability systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced or automotive industry environment.
  • Basic understanding of automotive processes, tools, and Lean principles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including interpreting machine drawings.
  • Ability to apply Lean problem-solving tools effectively.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiar with process optimization techniques.
  • Working knowledge of relevant HSE and workplace safety regulations.
  • Fluent in English, and if not a native French speaker, a strong command of English is mandatory.
