Health Safety Environment Coordinator (m/f/x)

Location: Luxemburg

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with European and national laws, regulations, and orders related to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement practices to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace and surrounding environments.
  • Investigate accidents and environmental incidents, collaborating with internal and external departments, engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide advice and training on environmental and safety protocols, conducting audits to ensure compliance with organizational and governmental standards for environmental and employee health and safety.
  • Maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and stakeholders affected by the organization’s environmental performance, emphasizing cooperation with local authorities and certification bodies to meet legal and management system requirements. Submit environmental reports.
  • Manage environmental permits related to energy (air, water, electricity, gas) and waste, including understanding permit requirements, control measures, and reporting responsibilities for waste management and energy data.
  • Keep the MSDS database up to date.
  • Oversee waste management, including supplier contacts, visual waste segregation management, waste balance, SDK label maintenance, and payments.
  • Represent EHS in AQP teams.
  • Serve as the internal and external key contact for sustainability.

Your qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemical engineering, industrial risks) with completed EHS training or equivalent experience.
  • Previous working experience in EHS coordination roles.
  • Strong knowledge of current EHS regulations and legal requirements, as well as common EHS risk assessment tools and processes.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and internal auditing practices, with the ability to coordinate schedules.
  • Proficient in collecting and analyzing data for reporting purposes.
  • Capable of leading projects and improvements to completion.
  • Self-disciplined and able to prioritize assignments autonomously.
  • Certification in Health and Safety at Work (travailleur désigné) is an asset.
  • Fluent in English and French, with German required.
